Gentoo: Upgrading Mysql

After spending countless precious hours trying to figure out why Gentoo decided to put all my MySQL files in /var/db/mysql-401, I finally ran across the documentation:

Moral of the story: You should just leave some packages alone until you have a compelling reason to upgrade. Being a latest-version-whore has its drawbacks.
